Business Analyst, NetSuite Practice

Job Summary

The NetSuite Business Analyst uses their experience along with application knowledge to conduct working sessions with the client, translate client business requirements into workable solutions and designs, train users on applications and best practices, support existing client accounts post go-live and troubleshoot client issues. This role is team focused with a track record of demonstrable work experience and business acumen in accounting/finance within Retail, Wholesale Distribution or Manufacturing industries using Oracle NetSuite software.


Essential Functions:
  • Provide NetSuite assistance and support to new clients and existing clients
  • Complete assigned tasks on time and within allocated hours
  • Maintain time tracking system with timely and accurate entries on the same day the work tasks and activities are done
  • Comfortable with leading frequent phone interaction/video chat with clients and the internal team
  • Effectively communicate with other individuals or groups both written and verbally
  • Interact with clients to understand their business requirements/needs and provide guidance
  • Document requirements and articulate high-level solutions to the clients
  • Solve issues by utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills and working as a team
  • Functionally design solutions, create test scripts, test development work for quality and coordinate installation of deliverables from Sandbox into production
  • Provide functional training to clients as needed
  • Work as a collaborative team member effectively with others in the company
  • Responsible for successful client satisfaction and possesses the ability to respond to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with data migration and other tasks assigned by Solution Architects
  • Assist with Personalization sessions, requirements, documentation, configurations, and walk throughs
  • Assist with unit testing
Other Functions:
  • Follow company procedures and security practices
  • Present, attend and participate in BTM meetings and training opportunities as required
  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned


Education, Experience, and Other Skills:
  • At least 2 years in a NetSuite role
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Tools/Systems: NetSuite, Bugzilla, MS Office, Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The individual must be competent to work within NetSuite’s core functionality
  • Experience with any third-party applications is a plus
  • Functionally familiar with many facets of NetSuite Financial Management such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Item Management and Record to Report
  • Experience working for product or services-based companies with an existing instance of NetSuite but has desire to get into Consulting
  • Experience & understanding Business Financials and Accounting is required
  • Knowledge of Advanced Manufacturing and Demand Planning, Order Processing, Inventory Management, CRM, or Data Analysis is preferred
