Job Summary
The Solution Architect provides a unique combination of functional and technical product expertise and delivery implementation experience in retail systems to design and deliver software solutions to meet client needs. The Solution Architect will work closely with the client to understand business and system requirements and provide a critical link between the functional and technical delivery team to ensure a complete and cohesive solution, including order lifecycle and fulfillment capabilities within the retail ecosystem.
Essential Functions:
· Serve as a lead member on the project delivery team and across multiple projects
· Solution lead for client implementations
· Delivery diamond lead on client projects representing the SA group
· Overall responsibility of solution implementation for client
· Serve as a primary point of contact with key client representatives
· Leverage best practices to guide the client
· Perform Oracle product demos for the clients, including order management and fulfillment flows
· Estimate overall work efforts
· Mentor and guide other functional resources on projects
· Provide implementation solution and approaches with various retail enterprise systems, including order management and orchestration processes
· Provide functional and technical deep domain expertise on Oracle Retail Solutions
· Collaborate with functional and technical teams across all phases of a project
· Collaborate with internal team members and external clients to ensure best practice, product and capabilities are leveraged to provide beneficial client solutions
· Participate in project planning and supporting tasks to manage expectations, maintain timeline and meet goals for project deliverables
· Ability to create and maintain project documents, including project plans, solution approaches, functional and technical requirements and specifications and is able to present them to clients
· Participate in business development activities that includes supporting in sales meetings and calls with potential clients
· Support the creation of business proposals including the review and response to RFPs
· Participate in the test planning, execution, and production implementation of projects, including order lifecycle validation and end-to-end transaction flows

· Present, attend and participate in BTM meetings and training opportunities as required
· May perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Other Skills:
· 4-year degree or equivalent
· More than 5 years’ experience in retail implementations and delivery and solving business problems with software and technology
· Demonstrated functional and technical knowledge in Oracle Retail systems, including experience supporting order management, fulfillment, and orchestration processes (e.g., OMS, OCS, ORPOS, Xstroe, or Order Broker/Locate)
· Microsoft Office
· SQL Developer/Toad
· Experience with payment vendors/gateways is a plus
· Experience with PCI security standards is a plus
· Experience with Oracle / SQL Server databases a plus
· Subject Matter Expert in 2-3 Oracle retail modules
· Payment integration expert
· Consulting background preferred
· Must have retail industry knowledge
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Must be confident working with all levels of management, and understand the demands and responsibilities of those roles
